Side Tracked... But Not For Long

Well, I started P90X..... but kind of got side tracked....

But I'm eager to get back at it. The weather has been great, the snow is melting, and roads are drying up, and I smell bike riding season. For me to get into a regular exercise routine I need to start by doing something active that I find fun. Sports like hockey has always been the motivator. As I actively get involved playing sports, I then naturally get active working out. Right now I'm looking forward to getting on my bike and riding the trails. Last fall before I put the bike away I was riding about 14km in about 45mins. Its going to feel great improving that time!

As I get active riding the bike it will be easier to become consistant at doing P90X daily.

Can't wait to get this working out thing goin' regularily!!!

Yoga?!....Yoga????!!!!

Never in a million years did I ever think I would be doing yoga! Well tonight I did ......sort of, and I really liked it! I only did 30mins of the 1 1/2 hour routine, but at least its a start. I'll really enjoy it when I learn more about it. Last night I did arms and shoulders.... and that felt fantastic!

Over the past 3 months I've lost 17 pounds mainly by just eating better. I cut out Coke, and started drinking water.... what a difference that made to how I feel. Started at 183 and now down to 166, my goal wieight is 160. But getting to goal weight is not really my motivation... its to feel better and be fit. Its going to happen, and you know, I'm really like'n this P90X!!!!!

A Long Time Ago

It seems like a long time ago, but this is me.... 22 years old. My friends and I waterskied 5 times a week. It was like we were training... always trying to cut harder and lower. In the winter it was hockey, and filled in the fall with tennis and football. We were always active, and having fun. Why is it that as we grow older that all seems to stop (at least it did for me)? When I was young I never saw my dad swim.... he could swim, but it was like he was too old it seems. At this rate my kids won't remember me swimming. I used to swim all summer long... we live a 5 min walk away from a choice of 3 lakes to swim in. These days I might only swim once a year.
NOT ANY MORE!!
I want to do all these things and I am going to find time to do it, for me and my family!
